Beth Wellner is a semi professional cellist, writer, retired teacher and world traveler. She currently resides in Mexico but when she’s not sating her desire to travel the globe, she makes her home in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband of almost 25 years. She and Rich, a private pilot, have had many thrilling trips in their plane and blog about their air travels and global adventures here on their blog: http://leftbase.com

Beth’s love of travel started at the tender age of 6 weeks when she went on her first camping trip. With stays in England and Ireland during her early teen years, she quickly developed a passion for global travel and the excitement, knowledge and inspiration it evokes. Having reaped the benefits of travel at such impressionable ages she became determined to expose her two children to the wonders of the world during their young lives as well. For more than 10 years, Beth has traveled to many parts of the globe and continues her obsession with travel while aspiring to learn something new with every journey.

Having seen inspiring places, met fascinating people and experienced incredible activities, she is a great believer in the power of travel and that through it we can all learn to be a more tolerant and loving global community. “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” ~ St. Augustine
